New Features for PrizmDoc v11.0:
Viewing Client
- We updated the underscore.js library we use to v1.8.3.
- A new search option supports the ability to search for words within proximity of each other. We've added a new API to support proximity search as well. Refer to the Using the Proximity Search Feature topic for more information.
- We've made it much easier to intercept our HTTP calls and modify them, for example, to implement your own security within these calls.
- We've created a new demo on our website that illustrates the header/footer creation code we added to the product in v10.5.
- Email attachments are now visible in the Viewing Client without having to leave full-screen mode.
- The copy-to-clipboard functionality will now be automatic in browsers that support clipboard access (latest Chrome, for example).
- We've added a new demo on our website that illustrates how to use the Content Conversion Service.
- It's now possible to delete a full page redaction. Simply tap/click on it and in the Immediate Action Menu that is displayed, select "Delete".
- The PrizmDoc Windows installer has been split into two pieces: a "client" installer, which includes everything needed to develop against PrizmDoc services (including PrizmDoc Application Services), and a "services" installer which will install only the back-end conversion services. Refer to the Installation topic for more information.
PrizmDoc Server
- A new Email Conversion Service has been added to PrizmDoc Server. The service is specifically designed to improve fidelity, performance, and stability of the product when processing and viewing email files in EML and MSG formats, and replace the legacy email rendering service. The service introduces more accurate rendering of the message header information aligned with the message body, and the ability to load and view email messages attached to email message files in EML and MSG formats.
- Developer Preview PrizmDoc now supports the Pre-Conversion of Documents. In PrizmDoc v11.0 users may choose to completely Pre-Convert a document, creating and caching all artifacts required for future viewing, or as part of an on-demand viewing session.
Important: Pre-Conversion Services are included as a "Developer Preview." This feature is in late-stage development and API's marked as such should be used for evaluation purposes only and should not be used in production deployments. Note that these API's may undergo change prior to feature completion. The Pre-Conversion Services will be feature complete in PrizmDoc v11.2. Refer to Pre-Converting Documents and the Pre-Convert API for more information.
Future Browser Support
- With the PrizmDoc v11 release, support for IE8, IE9 and IE10 will be deprecated. With the future release of PrizmDoc v12, support for IE8, IE9, and IE10 will be discontinued altogether. Our browser support for Microsoft will follow their published policy for support. Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
